Baker Days…

Last week was our Wedding Anniversary and the lovely people at Baker Days asked if they could send us a cake – well would you say no?
They posted (yes posted) a cake which arrived the very next day. Intrigued as to how a cake could survive dropping through the letterbox I gave the box a jolly good shake! This was of course because I wanted to provide a thorough test of the product and nothing to do with being a little bit childish. True to their guarantee on opening the box the cake was perfectly safe inside a pretty tin. Also in the box was a gift card and mini-packet of love hearts. For each occasion you get a themed mini-gift to compliment the cake love-hearts for valentines, balloons for birthdays etc.
We had a Maderia cake which tasted lovely and stays fresh for 10-12 days, they offer a selection of cake flavours including chocolate, fruit and gluten free. It is a mini cake (fits through your letterbox) but still cuts into 4 decent size pieces, we cut ours into 8 bite size chunks to share with the children. With cake prices starting at £14.99 I think these are a reasonable gift delivery option when you want to send a bit more than just a card. With a huge selection of design and options to personalise they really do have a cake for everyone and with Valentines around the corner would make a great treat for the one you love.
