I promised you a final half-term treat and I've just squeezed in the time to share another great competition with you...
LEGOLAND Discovery Center Manchester
Located in Barton Square at The Trafford Centre in Manchester, the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre is made up of a series of interactive features to immerse kids into a world where their imagination can run wild with creative inspiration at every turn.
The centre features a MINILAND display of iconic buildings and scenes from across the North West; three small rides including Merlin’s Apprentice and the LEGO City Forest Pursuit Driving Adventure where kids can chase down the baddies on the battery powered off road vehicles; LEGO Racers Build and Test; LEGO Friends area; a master model builders workshop; 4D cinema; two soft play areas and the DUPLO village.
Newest to the attraction is the pop-up LEGO® Star Wars™ MINILAND Model Display which offers an intergalactic immersion into the sights and sounds of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.
From the rolling hills of Naboo to the treacherous terrain of the desert planet of Tattooine, the incredible landscapes will be recreated using LEGO bricks. Built-in games will offer hands on fun for even the youngest of Padawans who can take part in a thrilling Podrace and help defeat the evil Droid Army in the ‘Droid Destruction’ game.
The display is made up of over 250,000 LEGO bricks, is home to 2000 LEGO Star Wars minigures and took 2,000 man hours to create! It will be open to the public from Friday 1 February until Sunday 2 June.
Also new to the attraction in March 2013 will be The Legends of Chima. The all new 12 minute animated 4D film, complete with high impact special effects, will immerse audiences in the fantastical LEGO world of Chima where tribes of animal warriors compete in epic battles for CHI, a mystical energy source of limitless power and destruction.
State of the art 3D animation will bring the audience right into the heart of their journey as they sweep through dramatic landscapes, flying through the magical waters of Mount Cavora and soaring over the majestic Speedorz™ Arena of Chima in a high speed chase. The climax of the adventure comes as Laval and Cragger take to their Speedorz vehicles in a super-charged, super-fast race to capture a precious supply of CHI. Will good prevail or will evil win the day?
The Centre involves just one entry fee, with all attractions included in the cost. Tickets are available online from just £8.10 per person. Pre-booking is recommended for our best price guarantee and to ensure your entry. All pre booked tickets gain you priority entrance to the attraction.
