Empty nest (or bedroom at least)…

Now Lil’F is 16 months the time has come to move her out of our bedroom and into the cot in the children’s room. The only thing that has delayed this move slightly is logistics. I usually put the two younger children to bed a little earlier than the older ones, they settle to sleep and then Madam heads up to the top bunk without disturbing C (E has is own room). F is a good sleeper now and happily settles in the cot in our room, she also settles well in the new cot – until you add her bigger brother into the equation!

Shouting across the room, playing peek-a-boo through the cot bars and giggling at one another’s presence is so much more fun than sleep. Bedtimes all needed to be re-jiggled a bit so each one will be asleep before the next whilst still getting them all settled sometime before midnight!

I’ve move Lil’F’s forward 10mins and C’s back 10mins and think I may have nailed it! Now our bedroom looks big and empty with it just me and hubby for the first time in almost 8 years. I’d like to have a little re-decorate and turn it into a grown up space just for us but most importantly want a king-size bed for when they all decide to clamber in with us.

My search for the perfect bed lead me to bedstaruk.co.uk they’ve got a huge selection and I was spoilt for choice, so much in-fact that I couldn’t decide which style I wanted; wood, metal, fabric, leather – with a foot end or not..? Still undecided on what would be the most comfortable option and fit the style I have planned for the room, I found myself distracted and looking at this…

I don’t think it’s what I was after, it’s not king-size and won’t fit the style of our room but maybe it’s time Master E got a more grown up bedroom…

Are you confused? Yes, me too!
