Green…

When I saw this week’s gallery post only one thing sprung to mind…

The Emerald Isle…

This week I have been missing Ireland for purely selfish reasons because this week the children in Ireland break for summer holidays! Yes when you get near the end of it two full months is an awful long time to keep the children entertained but I think my body clock is still stuck on Irish holiday times. I’ve had enough of the school run, the morning rush to get them all dressed and it’d be lovely to be able to slow down a little. The weather has started to warm a little and I want to let them out in the garden without worrying how dirty or wet they’re getting and when a pleasant afternoon turns into a wonderful evening, I don’t want to have to rush everyone off to bed.

I’m counting the days, can you count 40 shades of green…

This was a very special picnic spot we discovered at the top of a forestry road in the Comeragh Mountains. To the right of the image is Lough Mohra which is freezing but fun for a paddle on a sunny day. The back of it is surrounded by steep slopes as the mountain rises above.
