Busy doing nothing…

I must introduce the children to this song, I loved it as a child and think it could be the theme to my life…

That’s what I’ve been the last few days; because after writing about the summer clutter that I planned to leave until next week to sort out I found I couldn’t operate at all in the chaos. I moved a few piles from one place to another but achieved very little before becoming distracted…

Lego DeLorean

Firstly by E’s Lego collection and namely The DeLoren from Back to the Future which he needed help building. I must point out I was not compensated in any manner to write about this but being a big fan of Lego and an 80’s kid I think it’s incredibly cool! We couldn’t resist buying it last week when we visited the Lego store in Westfield. Did you know it was designed by a fan and submitted to the Lego Cuusoo site where fans can vote for their favourite designs. Once a design has reached 10,000 votes it is reviewed for suitability as a product by the Lego team and most recently the 30th Anniversary Edition of Ghostbusters set has achieved this goal and therefore may be created. My current favourite is the idea of a Wizard of Oz 75th Anniversary Set; what to you think..?

I wonder what the Lego movie will be like; it’s released on Valentines Day next year and we can’t wait to see it with the clips from the games being so amusing. I don’t think it’ll make the most romantic of dates but should be great half-term entertainment for the children…

Lego Movie

After my slight detour back to my own childhood I began organising photos having been offered the wonderful chance to review PhotoBox’s service. I finally have the canvas prints I’ve wanted for a while of all four children in the hallway to welcome visitors which I absolutely adore!

All this meant that I forgot my Monday Music post which was an incredibly important one this week. Last week I posted how happy I was to have been with hubby for 15yrs. This weekend my parent’s celebrated their 39th Wedding Anniversary for them this involved a holiday from a holiday. Having cycled the Mississippi they have taken a break from roughing it to hire a car and stay in a resort on Spirit Lake (what a wonderful name it sounds an idyllic place). They have hired a variety of different water vessels including a jetski which E was incredibly impressed by and suitably shocked that his Grandparent’s still enjoyed such things. I hope they realise that next year when we holiday as a family to celebrate their Ruby Wedding he’ll be expecting a ride on one now!

So better late than never…

Now I’m distracted by Cat Steven’s songs – no can’t help it myself, love this..!!
