Kite & Cosmic Fun fashion

Fun fashion for Summer outings…

For their Kite and Cosmic SS17 Collection, have collaborated with TV Presenter Kate Garraway to create a really fabulous range. I have so many good things to say about the collection but the most important and lovely is that a purchase of clothing from this range will support children’s charity I CAN who are dedicated to helping children with language and communication difficulties.

It is instantly apparent that a lot of thought has been put into the collection; the vision for a mix & match collection that is easy to wear but suitable for any occasion comes across clearly. There are bright pieces to give a pop of colour with basic staples and some cute and clever embellishments. It looked perfect for summer days out where although the children need to be well presented you know that ultimately they’ll be rolling around the garden or park. Kate said she wanted it to have a ‘get up and go’ feel and to really put it to the test the children wore it on a day when we did just that!

We got up early on Sunday morning to catch the train to Waterloo to explore the brand new Ocean Invaders jellyfish exhibit at Sealife London. The girls wore the tops from the love heart print top and skirt set but instead of the skirts they Fifi wore white twill dungarees and Tilly wore denim culottes whilst I chucked the skirts in my bag in case they wanted a change later.

Ocean invadersAfter Sealife we boarded a riverboat tour and with the wind picking up a little, jackets were popped over the the top of their Kite & Cosmic clothes. Although we didn’t have them Kite & Cosmic have bomber jackets perfect for this change in British weather in the collection.

The boat tour was amazing; not being tourists and having been on quite a few city tours we often find we’ve heard it all before. This River Boat was booked through Attraction Tix and made for a really nice relaxing ride whilst the guide told lots of great stories and included info we’d not heard before. We were spending the day with Carolynne from Mummy Endeavours and Emma from The Joy of Five who both agreed that this was a thoroughly enjoyable way to see the city.

Our final stop at Shrek’s Adventure was the children’s favourite part of the day. This didn’t surprise me, it was lots of fun, immersive and the 4D experience incredibly clever!

It was a long day in the city but the comfortable of the Kite and Cosmic clothing stood up to it perfectly. The clothes have been worn many times since and the fabrics wash and wear so well especially considering Fifi’s dungarees are white! Perfect to mix and match and looking so effortlessly good they’ve been packed on every trip we’ve done since they arrived, definite wardrobe staples for the summer!

~ With thanks to Attraction Tix for the tickets to all these great London attractions and M&Co for the clothing in return for our honest opinions. ~
