We were introduced to these games when we attended I CAN’s Chatterbox Tea Party with Humf. I CAN is a communication charity who help to identify and support children struggling with speech issues. We had a wonderful day with them singing songs and eating scones and hopefully raising awareness of their wonderful work at the same time.
These word construction games from Bananagrams offer multiple activities providing the oppurtunity to make education fun. In Appletters you work together to build a ‘word worm’, adding letters to make words either to his head or tail. The winner is the first person to use up all their tiles but don’t forget the rules or you could get called a ‘rotten apple’!
PAIRSinPEARS can be used for several things; Pattern Grouping and Letter Hunt can be played with pre-readers, wordplay activities like Rhyming and Fill in the Blank for early readers, children will learn while having fun. And it gets even juicier with two fast, fun games that have players racing to build word grids in friendly competition. This is the game that truly has something for everyone!
